Torrey Pines 83, El Camino 69--Forward Courtie Miller had to carry the load with 33 points when Torrey Pines beat El Camino, 79-76, in the championship of the Lt. James Mitchell tournament two weeks ago.

This time, forward Kevin Flanagan scored 21 points and guard Tom Underwood had 18 to help out. Miller scored 19.

Torrey Pines (13-0) led, 46-41, at halftime but outscored El Camino, 10-2, to start the third quarter.

El Camino cut the lead to 75-69 with two minutes to play, but Torrey Pines, which made 23 of 30 free throws, made six down the stretch. Lee Cobb led El Camino (7-2) with 28 points.

Crawford 83, Bonita Vista 49--Lamont Grove, a 5-11 guard, had 32 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for Crawford in the consolation bracket. Grove, who made 15 of 21 shots, including 2 three-pointers, scored 20 points by halftime to give Crawford (5-4) a 41-23 lead. Tracy Halton added 19.

SANTANA TOURNAMENT

Lincoln 100, West Anchorage 75--Two big scoring streaks helped Lincoln win in the round-robin tournament.

Lincoln (10-1) took the lead for good with 3:43 to play in the third quarter, 56-55, and then ran off 14 straight points in a span of 1:50. West Anchorage came back and trailed by five, 78-73, midway through the fourth quarter, but Lincoln scored 12 more.

Roger Johnson, a 6-6 center, scored 28 points.

Patrick Henry 81, Hilltop 37--Terrence Hamilton scored 11 points and Greg Edwards 9 in the first quarter as Patrick Henry (7-2) rolled to a 27-4 lead. Hamilton finished with 22 points and Edwards had 11. Hilltop made only 12 of 53 shots (23%), 2 of 10 in the first quarter.

Santana 72, Clairemont 50--Joe Church scored 24, and Tim Barry added 19 for Santana (9-0). Clairemont’s Ray McDavid did not score in first quarter but finished with 23 points.

Grossmont 60, Chula Vista 53--Lance Williams scored 19 points and Tom Aland added 14 for Grossmont (7-2). Chula Vista jumped to an 18-10 lead in the first quarter, but Grossmont outscored the Spartans, 38-19, over the next two to take control. Scott Matney had 21 points for Chula Vista.

MT. CARMEL TOURNAMENT

USDHS 60, San Pasqual 50--John Montali scored 18 points and Anthony Massa 15 to lead University of San Diego High School (3-6) past San Pasqual in a semifinal game at Mt. Carmel. USDHS will meet Poway in the final Saturday night. Poway defeated Madison, 57-50, in Tuesday’s other semifinal.
