Mayor Bradley Chided

A longtime supporter of Mayor Tom Bradley on Monday resigned from the city’s environmental watchdog agency, chiding the mayor for his “overall lack of vision and leadership” on environmental issues. “Tom, I have no doubt that if you decided to exercise the same level of commitment and leadership on environmental matters that you have done on economic and development matters, the city would be in better shape environmentally,” Rob Glushon said in a letter resigning from the Environmental Quality Board. Bradley was unavailable for comment but Tom Houston, president of the board, said Glushon is doing the bidding of Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky, who is expected to run against Bradley in 1989.
