California forward Leonard Taylor, who averaged 19 points and 8.8 rebounds a game last season, said he will redshirt this season and return for his final year of eligibility in 1988-89.
Taylor, a co-captain of the Bears, missed the first 10 games of the current season with a broken bone in his left foot.
