San Diego
A 24-year-old man was shot and killed Friday after a scuffle outside a Southeast San Diego gas station, police said.
Charles D. Jackson, whose address is unknown, died of a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner’s office said.
Witnesses told police that the man became involved in an argument which escalated into a scuffle in front of a Shell gas station, 5109 Imperial Ave., about 1 a.m.
Moments later, a tan, two-door car passed the front of the station and someone fired what police describe as a “large-caliber weapon” at Jackson, who died at the scene.
Homicide detectives were investigating.
