Michael Jackson will start the U.S. leg of his world tour next month in the same city that launched the Jacksons’ tumultuous “Victory Tour” in 1984: Kansas City, where he’ll play Kemper Arena Feb. 23-24. Other dates on the just-announced itinerary: March 3, 5 and 6 at New York’s Madison Square Garden (the first is a benefit for the United Negro College Fund) and March 12-13 at the Arena in St. Louis. Dates and locations in 10 other Midwestern and Southern cities, including Houston, Pittsburgh and Louisville, will be announced soon.
