San Diego
About 300 gallons of raw sewage poured into San Diego Bay on Sunday after a sewer line became blocked, County Health Services Department spokesman Lyn Wallis said.
The spill occurred about 1:30 p.m., when the clogged line caused a manhole to overflow in the 600 block of San Elijo Street. After flowing into a storm drain, the sewage ran into the bay near Owen Street and San Antonio Avenue, Wallis said.
The spill was contained at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
