- Two of the most successful male vocalists in rock ‘n’ roll will soon be featured in concert at the San Diego International Sports Arena. John Cougar Mellencamp, the Midwest’s answer to Bruce Springsteen, will perform Feb. 27, and Sting, lead singer with the Police, will appear March 22.

Tickets for Mellencamp go on sale Jan. 23 and for Sting, Feb. 12. They’ll be available at the arena box office and all Ticketmaster outlets at $18.50 each.
