‘Quite Content’ to Live Outside City
According to the Los Angeles Times (Southeast/Long Beach sections, Dec. 27), Mayor Gene Chandler wants to annex 1.8 square miles of county land to the City of Whittier. I’ve got news for his honor. The majority of residents are quite content to remain in the county. If the mayor thinks he’ll put over his annexation without a fight, he’s going to get a run for his money. I’m quite content with the status quo, and I don’t need Whittier.
