Local News in Brief : 3 Arrested in Sexual Assaults
Police arrested three people last week, including a 16-year-old boy, on suspicion of kidnaping two men from a Redondo Beach bar, taking them to Long Beach and sexually assaulting them.
Police suspect the three of kidnaping two South Bay men at gunpoint just after midnight Thursday outside Fashions Nightclub on the Redondo Beach Pier--a short distance from the police substation. The victims, ages 20 and 29, were then taken in one of their cars to Long Beach and sexually assaulted, Redondo Beach Sgt. John Skipper said.
Leo Faletui, 22, and Faauma Telea, 19, both of Long Beach, and a 16-year-old boy, whom police would not identify because of his age, were arrested last week on suspicion of kidnaping, oral copulation, sodomy and robbery.
Faletui is being held by Redondo Beach police on $20,000 bail, and Telea is being held without bail because of an unrelated warrant for his arrest, Skipper said.
The 16-year-old was transferred to the Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey, Skipper said.
