Local News in Brief : Stabbing Victim Dies
A young man stabbed in a gang-related fight at the Westside Pavilion shopping center in Westwood died Monday, police said.
Andres Aguayo, 19, of Los Angeles died at 9:30 a.m. at UCLA Medical Center after undergoing surgery, said Police Detective Bill Humphry.
Aguayo was confronted by a group of gang members at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Westside Pavilion, Humphry said. A fight broke out and Aguayo was stabbed several times, Humphry said. The assailants fled.
