An enlisted man stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Station was lost at sea when the plane in which he was sitting rolled off the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise near the Hawaiian Islands, a Navy spokesman reported. A search failed to locate the unidentified sailor, who went overboard on Saturday when an A-7E Corsair slid off the deck for unexplained reasons, spokesman Dennis McGrath said. The man was assigned to Attack Squadron 22, which, with Attack Squadron 94, left Lemoore, about 35 miles south of Fresno, Jan. 5 for a six- to eight-month tour of duty.
