Daryl Hall, the tall half of the pop singing duo of Hall & Oates, does not have to pay more than the maximum child support called for under Minnesota state guidelines despite his hefty income and despite acknowledging himself to be the father of the child. An appellate court in St. Paul made that ruling Tuesday on a suit filed by 24-year-old Andrea Zabloski of Duluth, who argued that it is not right for Hall to live on his 160-acre estate in Millbrook, N.Y., while she brings up their son Darren, now 4, and another child in a one-bedroom apartment. Zabloski, who was on welfare until Hall’s support payments began in 1986, met the singer when he was in town for a concert.
