The sentencing of a former Glendale travel agency owner who was found guilty of stealing as much as $280,000 from two airlines was postponed this week after his lawyer asked that he receive a psychiatric evaluation.

Anoop Bhatia, 31, of Granada Hills was convicted last month of two counts of grand theft for stealing more than $200,000 from Western Air Lines and an unspecified lesser amount from United Airlines.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert Ralph continued the sentencing to April 19, after Bhatia’s attorney filed paper work Tuesday requesting the evaluation.
