Lakers Pay First Visit to Denver

Share

The Lakers, winners of 17 of their last 18 games, make their first visit of the season here to play the Nuggets, who have lost 10 in a row to Los Angeles.

The Lakers beat the Nuggets, 127-119, at the Forum Nov. 27, when A.C. Green scored a career-high 28 points and had 16 rebounds. That more than compensated for the absence of James Worthy, who sat out the game with a sore knee.

The Lakers, who have the league’s best road record at 12-5, have won 8 of their last 9 games away from home. They have held 13 of their last 14 opponents under 50% in shooting. They will return home to play the New York Knicks Friday night.
