NHL Roundup : Bruins Move Into First Place With 6-1 Victory

Ken Linseman scored two goals and had two assists, and Steve Kasper scored a pair of goals Thursday night at Boston as the Bruins moved into first place in the Adams Division by defeating the Minnesota North Stars, 6-1.
The victory pushed Boston one point ahead of second-place Montreal. It also extended Boston’s unbeaten streak against Minnesota to 11. Minnesota’s last win against the Bruins was on Dec. 22, 1983.
St. Louis 4, Montreal 1--The Blues, who hadn’t won away from home since Dec. 26, snapped their five-game road losing streak and ended the Canadiens’ four-game unbeaten streak at Montreal.
Quebec 5, Toronto 4--Anton Stastny’s goal with 4:52 left gave the Nordiques the win at Toronto. The Maple Leafs are winless in their last 13 games, going 0-9-4.
Philadelphia 3, Edmonton 1--Ilkka Sinisalo and Murray Craven scored third-period goals to give the Flyers their eighth straight victory over the Oilers at the Philadelphia Spectrum since 1982.
Hartford 4, New York Islanders 3--Third-period goals by Paul MacDermid and Carey Wilson lifted the Whalers past the Islanders at Hartford, Conn.
Detroit 3, New Jersey 2--Brent Ashton scored his second goal of the game with 1:23 left in overtime to give the Red Wings the victory at East Rutherford, N.J. Detroit is 9-1-1 in its last 11 games.
