Dolan Leads Fullerton Women Gymnasts to Win

Freshman Lisa Dolan captured her second all-around championship with a score of 36.15 in two meets to lead the Cal State Fullerton women’s gymnastics team to a 181.30-168.55 victory over Brigham Young Friday night in Titan Gym.

The Titan women had winners on every event with freshman Margot Gumerlock hitting 9.35 on vault, Dolan and freshman Tiffaney Lambert 9.45 on bars, Krickitt Pappas 9.4 on balance beam and Dolan 9.3 on the floor exercise.

The dual-meet victory gave the 14th-ranked Titans a 2-1 overall record. Brigham Young, led by the all-around score of Beverly Snell (34.60), is 0-1.

David Moriel won the all-around with 56.60 to lead UCLA, the defending NCAA champion, to a 278.55-270.90 victory over the Titan men’s team.

The Titans are 3-2 in dual-meet competition, UCLA is 4-0.
