Becker Defeats Lendl in Osaka Exhibition

OSAKA, Japan —
Boris Becker of West Germany, scoring with booming serves and sharp returns, beat Ivan Lendl of Czechoslovakia, the world’s top-ranked tennis player, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2, Wednesday in a four-player tournament.
Steffi Graf of West Germany, the world’s top-ranked woman player, trounced Gabriela Sabatini of Argentina, 6-0, 6-1, in 39 minutes in the other match.
