Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Motorcycle Crash Victim in Critical Condition
A Huntington Beach man remained in critical condition Friday on support equipment with major head injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, authorities said.
Stephen Andrew Culjis, 28, was listed in critical condition at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Culjis was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by Bernard Bridgeman Jr., 25, of Huntington Beach, who crashed into a tractor-trailer rig Thursday night as it turned off Pacific Coast Highway onto 17th Street, police said.
Bridgeman, treated and released from the same hospital for a broken arm and collarbone, was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving, police said.
