NATO Secretary-General Lord Carrington has been named chairman of Christie’s, the international art dealer and auction house, the company announced Tuesday. Christie’s executive Christopher Davidge said Carrington would join the company in July, when he retires from his NATO post. “Lord Carrington is very well known in arts circles and I was absolutely delighted when he accepted our offer,” Davidge said.
