More Ire About Smoke

Share

“Where There’s Smoke, There’s Ire” pointed out that smokers are fighting back against smoking restrictions. I am well aware that many smokers are “hooked” on the weed and are finding it very difficult to curtail their smoking. And I have a great deal of sympathy for them. But, unfortunately, when they smoke in the presence of nonsmokers, they force people who do not wish to inhale smoke fumes to do so. In other words, the nonsmoker is being hurt by the smoker. The damage is exceptionally great if the offended party has an allergy or a respiratory or heart condition.

I also have a lot of empathy for people with contagious diseases who have to stay away from other people. The smoker, like the person with a contagious disease, should not be allowed to contaminate nonsmokers by forcing them to inhale poisonous gasses.
