Having come under critical fire for its commercial-laden coverage of the Winter Olympics thus far, ABC will press ahead with another 21 hours from Calgary this weekend.

From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today, the network (Channels 7, 3, 10, 42) has the 90-meter ski jump, two hockey games (Sweden vs. Finland and France vs. Canada) and the women’s combined ski slalom. Figure skating, speed skating and ski jumping will be covered in prime time from 7-11 p.m.

Sunday’s prime-time coverage from 7-11 p.m. will bring the United States-West Germany hockey game. The Soviet Union will face Czechoslovakia in hockey during the 8 a.m.-3 p.m. telecast, which also will include the two-man bobsled race and the men’s 10,000-meter speed skating.

On the subject of Olympiads, CBS has a half-hour telecast of the U.S. Olympic Invitational Track & Field Meet Sunday at 10 a.m. (2)(8).

Viewers seeking a break from the winter events in Calgary can swing over to NBC and find the Andy Williams Golf Open today at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. (4)(36)(39).

Atop a long list of basketball games is Arizona vs. UCLA today at 11 a.m. (2)(8), with the Los Angeles Lakers and Detroit Pistons playing in the Forum Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on the same stations.
