An 18-year-old San Diego woman died Tuesday after the car in which she was riding collided with another vehicle in the 6800 block of Paradise Valley Road in Paradise Hills, authorities said.
Mary Anne Campbell of the 300 block of Winewood Street in Encanto, died at 12:39 a.m. at UC San Diego Medical Center, authorities said.
She was a passenger in a car driven by Douglas Hurt. Hurt was eastbound when he attempted to pass a slower-moving vehicle. As he did so, his car collided with a westbound auto driven by Sarie Madeja, address unavailable, authorities said. Madeja sustained minor injuries.
Hurt was in fair condition Tuesday night at UCSD Medical Center.
