Micheal Ray Richardson, suspended from the National Basketball Assn. two years ago for drug use, has applied for reinstatement, but the process could take as long as four months, a league spokesman said.
Richardson, 32, the former Net guard, was banned from the league in February, 1986, because of cocaine abuse. The Nets retain the rights to Richardson.
