Criminal charges will not be filed against either Lyle Alzado or the two Lomita residents involved in a January traffic altercation with the former Raider All-Pro.
John Slawson, Redondo Beach city prosecutor, said there is not sufficient evidence to charge either Alzado, or Lomita residents Marvin Rathburn and Angie McCormick.
Alzado filed a police report Jan. 19, claiming that he was the victim of a hit-and-run driver, after the Lomita pair hit his car from the rear in Redondo Beach and drove off before exchanging insurance information.
McCormick and Rathburn later filed reports of their own, claiming that Alzado brandished a pistol and threw a handful of coins at Rathburn’s car, striking a girl who was riding in the back seat.
