Dress Code at Disneyland Hotel

Share

Coming from a time when such a dress code as Disneyland’s was accepted in all business, I find no difficulty with it and, if I were not handicapped in a manner that keeps me from working, I would love to have one of those jobs for senior citizens that Disneyland offers. It would open up my horizons tremendously.

There is also need to talk about the dress code in the context of modern standards.

Disneyland is not a run-of-the-mill commercial venture. It is show business, and its employees are the cast. For a show to succeed, the cast must be in character. Disneyland has followed this precept for 33 years, and the show is still enjoying a successful run.

Now that the Disneyland Hotel is part of Disneyland, the new cast members should also be in character. The new members should try adjusting for six months or so before they get hot under the collar.

As for backstage people, they should be in character too. Sometimes backstage people have to come on stage. Also, it is possible that the backstage milieu helps the on-stage cast keep in character.
