President Reagan and his wife, Nancy, will remain at the White House this weekend to give the First Lady a chance to recuperate from a bout of laryngitis, the President’s spokesman said today.

White House physician John Hutton “recommended she take it easy” and advised the couple to cancel their regular weekend visit to the Camp David, Md., presidential retreat, spokesman Marlin Fitzwater said. Mrs. Reagan, who has been using a steam vaporizer to alleviate the condition, has been resting in the White House living quarters “and taking home remedies,” a spokeswoman said.
