Irvine : Forced Chinese Abortion to Be Topic of Address

Steven W. Mosher, director of the Asian Studies Center at the Claremont Institute in Southern California, will discuss forced abortions in China at 11:30 a.m. today at the Airporter Inn.

Mosher is known as the first social scientist to carry out a full-length study of Chinese village life since the Communist revolution. He is the author of several books, including “Broken Earth,” “The Rural Chinese” and “Journey to the Forbidden China,” and a recent article, “A Mother’s Ordeal,” in Reader’s Digest. His television appearances include “60 Minutes” and “The Today Show.”

The public is invited to the luncheon, sponsored by the Orange County Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. The Airporter Inn is at 18700 MacArthur Blvd.
