Rhythm-and-blues musician Ike Turner, ex-husband of pop star Tina Turner, was convicted in Santa Monica today on two felony cocaine charges, but was cleared of possessing the drug for sale.

Turner, 55, was stopped in August by police officers who said he was driving erratically. He was arrested when officers found 5.6 grams of rock cocaine in his car. Jurors deliberated four hours before finding Turner guilty of cocaine possession and transportation, but not of possessing the drugs for sale. He was to appear in Pasadena Superior Court later today on charges he sold $16,000 worth of cocaine to an undercover police officer in Hollywood.
