Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson agreed to renew his contract with the San Francisco Ballet Assn. through June 30, 1990, a spokesman for the dance group confirmed Friday. “Helgi’s artistic vision and high standards have served San Francisco Ballet very well over the past three years,” said George James of the association’s board of trustees. “We’re delighted to know that he will now be leading the company into the next decade.”
