Former Raider wide receiver Cliff Branch and ex-UCLA quarterbacks David Norrie and Matt Stevens were among an estimated 300 participants at the Los Angeles Cobras’ free-agent tryout camp at El Camino College.
Branch played for the Raiders for 14 years before retiring after the 1985 season. Norrie and Stevens both played during the NFL strike last fall.
Among other prominent players attending the regional tryout camp were former USC quarterback Tim Green and former Long Beach State quarterback Russ Jensen.
The Cobras will begin their first Arena Football League season April 30.
