Singer Dianne Reeves, guitarist Earl Klugh, the jazz-fusion quartet Yellowjackets and pianists Keiko Matsui and David Benoit will be featured in the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s 1988 contemporary jazz series opening June 3.

Klugh will lead off the second such series at the Center on June 3 and will be followed on July 17 with a bill shared by Benoit and Matsui. The three-performance series concludes Aug. 28 when Dianne Reeves and the Yellowjackets will co-headline in 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall.

The Center first ventured into current jazz last fall with a three-concert series that featured Wynton Marsalis, Stanley Jordan-Michael Franks and Bob James-Free Flight lineups.
