Local News in Brief : Fullerton : 2 Officers Injured in Motorcycle Collision

Two police officers were injured Monday during training exercises when their motorcycles collided.

Officer Tak Kim, 23, was knocked unconscious for 20 minutes when his motorcycle collided with one ridden by Officer Dan Bohling, 27, Sgt. Jeff Roop said.

Both officers were taken to St. Jude’s Hospital. Kim was held for observation, and Bohling was treated for minor injuries and released, Roop said.

The officers had finished their maneuvers and were cooling down the motorcycles by riding around the city water tank at the police training facility on Euclid Street. The officers were traveling in opposite directions and neither realized the other was coming, Roop said.
