Lazers Pull Within Half-Game of Comets

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Thompson Usiyan scored two goals and assisted on two others Sunday to help the Lazers defeat Kansas City, 8-5, and pull to within a half-game of the Comets in the Western Division of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
The Comets have now lost six straight.
Los Angeles (29-25) took the lead for good when Usiyan assisted on Jim Gabarra’s 21st goal midway through the second quarter, giving his team a 4-3 lead.
