San Diego
An unidentified man jumped to his death Wednesday from somewhere at the southwest corner of Horton Plaza downtown, authorities said.
Police responded to a call at about 7:50 p.m. that a man had fallen from the shopping center to the sidewalk near 1st Avenue and G Street, police spokesman Dan Douglas said.
The man, whose age and identity had not been determined, was dead at the scene, Douglas said.
Police said the death appeared to be a suicide.
“As far as we can tell, there is no indication of foul play,” Douglas said.
