Local News in Brief : Crash Leaves Two Dead
Two people were killed and two others injured early Friday when a car swerved out of control on a rain-slick street in East Los Angeles and plowed into a tree, police said.
The car had been traveling north on Eastern Avenue about 12:30 a.m. when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction apparently crossed into their lane on a curve, Officer Richard Rinker said.
The four people in the car lived and worked together and were on their way home from a nightclub when the accident occurred, he said. The names of the victims were withheld until relatives could be notified.
