Man Found Dead in Bedroom Closet
A 66-year-old man was discovered dead in the bedroom closet of his Ocean Beach apartment Friday night, with his hands bound and a plastic bag over his head.
The body of the victim, Jean Warren Campbell, was found by neighbors in the five-unit apartment building he managed at 4605 Voltaire St., a police spokesman said. The building’s owner told police he became concerned because he had not seen Campbell for more than two days. He and some of the other residents forced their way into Warren’s first-floor apartment through a bedroom window and made the grisly discovery at 8:45 p.m.
Homicide detectives are looking for a suspect who may have taken Campbell’s gray 1986 Toyota Camry, which is missing.
