The family of a comatose man won the right to discontinue his feeding tube and allow him to die with a state Court of Appeal’s decision to overturn a lower court ruling. The 6th District appellate court panel’s unanimous decision in San Jose represented a victory for the brother of 44-year-old William Drabick, who has been in a coma since a car accident five years ago. However, state Public Defender Michael Pescetta said he will take the case to the Supreme Court.
