Local News in Brief : Laguna Hills : Woman Dies of Injuries Suffered in Collision
A Laguna Hills woman has died of injuries suffered when her car collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Laguna Hills Drive and Paseo de Valencia on Tuesday morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said Thursday.
Darlene E. Long, 51, of Laguna Hills died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, where she was taken after the accident, CHP Officer Carl Twigg said.
According to Twigg, Long was driving through the intersection when her car collided with a pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Garden Grove man who tried to turn into the intersection at the same time. The man was not injured.
