Holdout quarterback Kelly Stouffer has agreed to contract terms with the Seattle Seahawks, but Stouffer can’t sign until Seattle’s Ken Easley, who is part of the deal, passes a physical with the Phoenix Cardinals, Stouffer’s agent said Thursday night.

“The Seahawks and I see eye-to-eye on everything,” agent Mike Blatt said in a telephone interview from his suburban Bellevue hotel. “It’s a done deal. But we can’t sign until Kenny Easley passes his physical examination in Phoenix. That’s the hangup.”

Easley reportedly flew to Phoenix Thursday, and Blatt said he expects to sign a contract with the Seahawks today.

However, Seahawk president-general manager Mike McCormack said he didn’t think he had a contract deal with Blatt. “I wish he’d told me that,” said McCormack, when informed of Blatt’s remarks. “The last thing he told me was that he didn’t think it (the Seahawks’ contract offer) would fly.”

The Seahawks still have not announced they are trading Easley to the Cardinals for Stouffer. Reportedly, the Cardinals will get Easley, 29, a five-time Pro Bowl selection at safety, and an undisclosed draft choice, believed to be a high 1989 pick.
