The Crossroads School of Arts and Science, a college-preparatory school serving more than 800 students, is remodeling the former factory at 1734 21st St. and will celebrate start of the $1.7-million refurbishing with a party on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.

The new center is adjacent to the existing campus.
