Composer-musician Jan Hammer, best known for writing the theme song and other music for “Miami Vice” and Bob Geldof, of “Live Aid” fame, have teamed up for a new series of English television ads promoting--of all things--milk. In one ad, Geldof is having trouble coming up with a new tune. In frustration he throws down his guitar and says, “There’s only one thing to do at a time like this.” He goes to the refrigerator, rummages past the beer and Perrier and grabs a bottle of milk. Hammer, who has written the music for the three spots, said, “I think the British dairy industry wants to plant a new slogan in the minds of England’s youth: sex, milk and rock ‘n’ roll.”
