Ventura Star Signs With Fullerton
Cedrick Ceballos of Ventura College, who averaged 28 points to lead the state in scoring last season, signed a national letter of intent to attend Cal State Fullerton, the school announced Friday.
Ceballos, a 6-foot 7-inch forward, also averaged 11.2 rebounds, third best in the state. He was a first-team community college All-American player, a first-team all-state player and the Western State Conference player of the year last season.
Ceballos, who attended Dominguez High School, started as a freshman for Ventura, which won the state championship by beating Saddleback, 76-72.
Ceballos also was considering Seton Hall, Minnesota and Cal State Long Beach.
