Local News in Brief : Westminster : Police Seek Woman Missing Since Saturday
Police on Tuesday were seeking an 80-year-old Westminster woman who was believed to have wandered away from her home over the weekend.
Trinidad Torres Mendoza was last seen by relatives at about 8 a.m. Saturday, police said. Mendoza, who speaks very little English, has been known to wander through the neighborhood near her home in the 14400 block of Olive Street collecting aluminum cans, police said.
The woman was described as being of Mexican descent, about 5-foot-1, 95 pounds with black and gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue moccasins, a yellow knit cap, a blue sweater and slacks. She is also believed to be wearing an identification bracelet with her name and telephone number on it.
