The Stuttgart Piano Trio (pianist Monika Leonhard, violinist Rainer Kussmaul and cellist Klaus Kanngiesser) will appear, July 22.

And the Taiwan Piano Trio (pianist Mei-Ling Wang, violinist Cheng-Tu Su and cellist Wang-Lin Sun) will make its U.S. debut, Aug. 1, playing works by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky and the premiere performance of a trio by Deh-Ho Lai.

All concerts will take place in State Playhouse on the Cal State L.A. campus, at 8 p.m.

The institute honors the late American musicians, pianist Eugene List and violinist Carroll Glenn; it was founded by a group of students of the couple “to continue the Lists’ work in promoting the art of piano and string music performance,” according to a brochure.
