Measure A Sparks Debate Over Growth and County’s Future
Re the slow-growth initiative:
A limit on growth is arbitrary and restrictive to the economy of the area. It shackles the most productive elements of our society who are ready and willing to provide the capital, energy and creativity that can maintain Orange County as one of the most vibrant, successful areas of the country for the foreseeable future.
I believe the citizens of Orange County are much more thoughtful than the promoters of the initiative. I believe that they will see it as a thinly disguised effort by the traditional opponents of growth, industry and progress of any kind to institute even more government control over our lives and the lives of our children.
