Phone Service Restored After Equipment Blaze

HINSDALE, Ill. —
Telephone technicians restored service early Sunday to the last 18,000 customers whose phones were disrupted by a fire last month, Illinois Bell officials said. The blaze at a switching station left 35,000 customers in six western Chicago suburbs without service.
