A Chatsworth furniture manufacturing business caught fire for the second time in five days early Sunday, and investigators are looking into the possibility that arson was the cause of the latest blaze, Los Angeles fire officials said.

Asher-Cole, in the 21700 block of West Marilla Street, an industrial area of Chatsworth, began to burn about 2:30 a.m., said Fire Department spokesman Greg Acevedo. The blaze was extinguished within half an hour.

No one was injured and firefighters have not assigned a dollar figure to the damage in the latest fire. A fire at the plant at 7 p.m. last Wednesday caused $450,000 in damage, according to city fire reports. The building sustained $300,000 in damage and loss to the building contents constituted $150,000, fire officials said. There also were no injuries in Wednesday’s blaze.
