Man Who Tried to Sell Daughter Pleads Guilty

HACKENSACK, N.J. —
A man whose attempt to sell his 5-year-old daughter for $100,000 in a Giants Stadium parking lot sparked a three-way custody battle pleaded guilty Monday to endangering the child’s welfare.
Joseph Waltman, 24, of Alloway Township faces a maximum of five years in prison and a $75,000 fine after entering into a plea agreement with prosecutors in which charges of conspiracy and illegally placing a child for adoption were dropped.
