2 Inmates Missing at South Bay Jail
Two inmates were missing late Thursday night from their cell at County Jail in Chula Vista, but they were believed to be still inside the building, sheriff’s Deputy George Gardner said.
The two men were believed to be unarmed.

One inmate had been sentenced earlier in the day to 17 years to life in prison for murder and the other had been sentenced to 6 years for burglary, Gardner said..
