Jetliner Forced to Swerve to Avoid Hitting Copter

SAVANNAH, Ga. —
An Eastern Airlines jet making its final approach Thursday to Savannah International Airport had to swerve to miss a military helicopter that entered the area without authorization, officials said. The plane landed safely and no injuries were reported.
